When there's no logical explanation!
It was Christmas time, December 1960. Our folks had been married for three years and were newly saved.
Dad had been in a serious car wreck two months prior, was still recovering and unable to work. With mom's income as
a house maid, finances were not there for a decent Christmas.....there would be no tree, no decorations, no christmas dinner,
and no toys to wrap for their three children.
One evening there came a knock on door. Dad got up to answer the door. In the next moment he yelled,
"Mom, come here!" There at door with no note, no explanation of any kind, sat groceries, gifts, a tree and everything
mom and dad needed to have Christmas.
Mom and dad would always say, "To this day, we don't know who brought those items. When dad looked out
the door, there were no footprints left in the deep snow of their doorway."
That was over forty-seven years ago, and every time the folks would share this story, hope would rise up in
me. It always reminded me that if God cared for a young couple back then, He would ride across the skies for me too.
Do you need God to ride across the skies for you? Remember, if he can supply Christmas for a young couple
just coming to know him, he'll supply whatever you have need of. Be encouraged friend, God is riding across the skies
for YOU!!
